One of my favorite new detox-friendly recipes! I've always been a big fan of having something simple that you can do a lot with, and this pesto definitely hit the mark during our detox a few weeks ago.
3 cups small broccoli floret pieces (blanched)
2 cups fresh basil
1 cup walnuts
1 cup extra-virgin olive oil
3 tablespoons nutritional yeast
Juice from 1 fresh lemon
5 garlic cloves
1 tablespoon sea salt
Freshly ground black pepper
Blanch broccoli florets (boil for 1 minute, then set aside in ice water). Add broccoli and all remaining ingredients to blender and blend on low. Enjoy over spaghetti squash, spiralized veggie noodles, baked eggplant, grilled carrots, or as a dipping sauce with your favorite snack.
